"She will be on Rose Hip Vital Canine for the rest of her life"
Thought you might like to know about this beautiful girl Juniper, she had been adopted out by Busselton Greyhound Awareness in March 2017 to Jilllian and her young son, a lovely lady who is a trainee nurse, sadly 19 days after adoption she had to have her hind leg amputated caused by a bizarre accident whilst doing Greyhound zoomies in the back yard.
Her beautiful owner although having only had her 19 days had grown to love her so much in that time she decided to fight for her and have her leg amputated, the easy option would have been to obviously have her euthanised. As she certainly hadn't factored in the cost of an operation of that enormity when she decided to rescue a Greyhound.
Bizarrely the week before Jillian took her, Juniper was on her way to the vets to be euthanised because she had been disqualified from racing for 12 months for marring, she obviously didn't like racing for her life. Juniper is extremely lucky to have been adopted by such a caring family.
Juniper has recovered so well and is now back to her normal happy self playing and enjoying walks on the beach.
Last week Junni went in for her Green collar assessment and passed so she is now muzzle free.
For a dog that has literally been at deaths door twice she now has a loving bright future to look forward to.
Part of that future involves keeping her other limbs mobile especially her one good hip, so she will be on Rose Hip Vital Canine for the rest of her life.
