Just over a year ago our 15 year old girl, Dingo Loxie, was literally on her ‘last legs’. Age, arthritis, and muscle wastage were taking their toll. Her ‘ever young’ brain was writing cheques her back legs couldn’t cash.
One day she had a mistep on the steep stairs and tumbled down 15 steps. She was buggered. She couldn’t walk. She ached and was limping around. She had a trip to the vet and given the all clear with nothing broken or damaged except her mobility and her dignity. She wasn’t the same. Even a week later when her bruised muscles had healed and she could get up, she walked around gingerly, stumbling and dragging her back legs, catching them on things. She used to be able to jump up 6 feet to the roof of the van, now she couldn’t even jump up on the couch. Loxie was acting like a puppy again, her pains were gone, she was running around and leaping like she was a puppy again. She was having FUN!!
