CONDITION: Knee Pain
LOCATION: AUS
"I started on Rose-Hip Vital and after a couple of weeks, I noticed the pain had subsided considerably and I was able to, after a short warm up, run freely."
I am a 43 year old triathlete from the northern beaches of Sydney. I have been doing triathlons for about 18 years now and in that time I have completed 20 ironman triathlons and 4 marathons. I have noticed in the last few years that running in the colder winter months has become increasingly difficult, with a gradual increase in hip and, in particular knee pain bilaterally.
I was lucky enough this year to be granted a spot into the ironman world championships in Hawaii in October. I would normally rest over these winter months but this year I needed to be able to train hard and consistently for the biggest race of my life. I completed ironman Cairns in early June and finished with a sore and swollen left knee. I had several weeks of recovery after the race but my knee was still troubling me.
I had pain mainly on my medial anterior joint line and in my patella-femoral joint. I started on Rose-Hip Vital and after a couple of weeks, I noticed the pain had subsided considerably and I was able to, after a short warm up, run freely. I have now been using it for about 5 weeks and for the first time in a long time, I am able to run on consecutive days. I am also finding that I don’t have the same level of joint pain after running that I have had for the last couple of years. From a joint pain perspective, I am recovering much quicker from my runs. With 10 weeks now until the race in Hawaii I am confident that I will be able to get the running that I need done to prepare for the race, thanks to Rose-Hip Vital. This is something that I haven’t been able to do for a few years.
