Several months ago Golden Retriever Rescue (GRR) was asked to take in two Goldies, Max and Holly. Some time elapsed and three days before GRR HQ was due to make their big move, the dogs needed to be surrendered, at a time when there was no availability at either GRR HQ or with a GRR foster carer. Wingecarribee Pound were contacted and arrangements were made for the security of Max and Holly. GRR has worked with Wingecarribee previously and they do a great job of finding homes for all the dogs in their care.
Then along came Stephen, a ‘Goldie tragic’ and Vice President of The Friends of Wingecarribee Pound. Stephen took one look at these filthy, tangled excuses for Golden Retrievers and his heart went out to them. So Holly and Max were taken in by Stephen where they not only received the veterinary and special needs care that they required, but also were welcomed into a wonderful loving home.
“Max and Holly are receiving ongoing behavioral training as, they had led a feral existence on a property without socialisation or training of any kind. They now receive regular bathing, grooming plus a ton of love. To improve their overall health and vitality, both Holly and Max have started on Rose Hip Vital Canine. Just look at their beautiful shining coats now!”
