Equine Testimonials: Rose-Hip Vital Success Stories

Sheer Etiquette (Ellie)

CONDITION: Joint Pain
RIDER: Susan Paix's
LOCATION: AUS

In 2011 we started competing at Grand Prix International, unfortunately arthritic changes and stiffness set in for Ellie and we sadly decided to retire. Six months ago I started Ellie on Rose-Hip Vital. The change is unbelievable.

Ellie is better now than when she was competing. Ellie and I are going back into competition at the ripe age of 20. This is so exciting!

Life is too short to be unhealthy. Thank you Rose-Hip Vital!

"I am a very happy customer"

Just thought that I would touch base with you again to let you know what I am up to with your product use. Well I am now feeding it to 3 horses consistently:

  1. Diamond B Vixen (World Cup Winner) who is resting with a small cartilage tear and currently in foal. She looks amazing and have noticed changes in her hind legs where she has some fluid pockets just below her hocks, they are reducing and looking normal
  1. Diamond B Carla, also looking amazing and has always had a small amount of stiffness in offside shoulder, now has a completely even stride in front and no sign of any stiffness at ALL and her temperament is exceptionally good. This become even more evident to me when I ran out of product for the last 3 weeks (thinking I would be able to buy it somewhere in the next few days but places where out of stock etc and I keep forgetting to ring and order it). Sam Buchanan her competition rider keep saying “she doesn’t feel quite as good, something is different” and I could hear from her footfalls that she had a slight difference in length of stride in her front legs and I was noticing again that she was becoming a cranky mare again!! Ding Ding the Penny Dropped!
  1. Diamond B Centurian, again looking amazing with a beautiful colour to his chestnut coat. And again not having any product for the last 3 weeks when taking him to a recent comp on the weekend broke out in hives (as a reaction I believe to the change in bedding) resulting in needing vet treatment and no competing. Previously he had been a very sensitive skinned horse often suffering from mysterious bites/reactions etc but I now realise that whilst taking Rose-Hip Vital he suffered from none of these.
So I am a very happy customer and I would be more than happy to promote your product in any way that we can. Love it. Even now going to try it on my own stiff body - Ragina Buchanan.

"I believe Rose-Hip Vital was a large part of his recovery"

Woodside De Lago AKA Lyle has been with me for just over 3 years now, our journey started in February 2014, Lyle was a 4yo ottb with lots of potential but had lots to work on.

Lyle started his eventing career in march 2014 cruising around the newcomers, I knew at that point he was going to be a special horse, we continued our journey together working our way through the grades with a lot of ups and downs. Lyle finally started to mature and show how talented he was.

In February 2016 Lyle competed his first pre novice at the Wallaby Hill Extravaganza, he truly made me feel like the luckiest girl in the world, jumping around like a seasoned pro! It had finally all come together, with big plans for Lyle in 2016 we focused on our next few events, he just kept getting better and better.

Unfortunately leading up to Equestriad I got a phone call on the morning of Friday 15th of April that Lyle had sustained a leg injury overnight in the paddock! Unsure of what was going on I rushed to be with him. Once I arrived we slowly walked him down to the wash bay, it was horrible to see him in such pain he could barely walk. Initially the vets and I thought he had just gotten cellulitis, so we started treating him for that. Including all the normal veterinary treatment, we also put him straight onto Rose-Hip Vital.

Once the swelling started to come down over next 3 days we could see something wasn’t right with his leg, immediately Lyle was taken into the clinic and had an ultrasound, the feeling that you get when you’re looking at the screen and not being able to tell where the tendon begins and ends is gut wrenching.

Images taken from the first scan

The prognosis wasn’t good at all. Lyle had managed to rupture and detach his tendon sheath and tear the extensor and flexor tendons. His future wasn’t looking bright, I had some of the best vets in the country agree his future was not going to be what we wanted, no jumping and they would be surprised if he became 100% sound again under saddle. We were going to do a follow up scan in 3 months and at least 6-12 months recovering in the yard. I was heart-broken.

So we took Lyle home put him in his yard and along with equine shock wave we had Lyle on a high dose of Rose-Hip Vital. 11 weeks after the initial scan we went back in to rescan and we could not have asked for a better result. He may return to light work walk and trot, we were all in utter shock! Not only was I told he may never come back into work or jump again but then to be told 11 weeks later that there is no reason why he shouldn’t be able to event again. It was such a sensational moment!

Before and after images

I believe Rose-Hip Vital was a large part of his recovery and I could not describe how important it is to believe in the strengths of today’s new treatment options. To know that yes it may look like it can all be over in such a short space of time but understand that with the most outstanding new treatment options you must never say never, don’t give up on your best friend because believe me they will surprise you in many ways.

Stay tuned for part 2 of Woodside De Lago’s journey, it definitely does not end there!

"We never miss a day of a scoop in her night feed"

November 24, 2017:

“My Mare was having difficulties getting over her Capped Hock injuries which she sustained in August 17. Constantly limping, very swollen and standing on 3 legs, she had 3 vet visits, injections, weeks of Bute meds, compression wraps day on day off, roll on cortisone, Tuff Rock, magnesium and Isolation. Not improving greatly, I decided to give Rose-Hip Vital Equine a go. It has been four weeks now and all of the swelling has disappeared, hocks are enlarged but will probably stay that way. She doesn’t hold her leg up, she is moving freely and we went on a 2 day trail ride (very hilly and steep) last week and she never looked back. I will continue with Rose-Hip Vital indefinitely. Many Thanks.”

Fast forward to March 9, 2018:

“My mare is doing fine thanks to Rose-Hip Vital, we never miss a day of a scoop in her night feed. One hock is still a little fluidy, but over ll she is 100% better and I owe it all to this amazing product. Have attached a couple of pics of my best friend. Cheers. Ps. There’s no stopping her now!”

"I’m completely blown away with the results I have had using Rose-Hip Vital Equine"

I was introduced to it by Sue Hearn as Remmington started on it before leaving to go overseas to help with the recovery with all the travelling he has had to do. I have a 16 year old Arabian Warmblood Monty that I had to retire at the age of 10 due to ringbone. Coming into this winter I found he was really struggling in his joints and dragging his back feet when he walked wearing out the toes of his feet which was creating a whole new problem! So I decided to try RHV and within 4 weeks I could see improvement trotting around and starting to move free in the hind legs. Monty now has been on it for 4 months and he’s moving so much better and not wearing out the toes of his feet! But most of all he is sound which is amazing!!

I was so happy with RHV I started my 12 year old Warmblood Avonlea Jivago (Jaffah) who is very nervous anxious and spooky! I have found that it has helped him internally he is not as anxious or spooky! He feels so much stronger, filling out nicely and his coat looks absolutely amazing! It really has helped with his overall health. I highly recommend Rose-Hip Vital Equine and I’m so glad I tried it I couldn’t be happier with my results!!

"OMG I cannot believe the difference in my horse after just 3 weeks"

June 2014

Dear Rose-Hip Vital Equine, Just wanted to say OMG I cannot believe the difference in my horse after just 3 weeks on this product. He has ringbone in his off hind and I manage it with special shoe/pentosan every 6 weeks. We are a competitive level 1 combination in HRCAV (Horse Riding Clubs Association Victoria) and despite my good management with the above and regular visits from an acupuncturist there was always an element of stiffness to our work. I cannot believe the difference I feel in him in just 3 weeks!! Like riding a totally different horse!!! He was due for his pentosan injection last week and usually by the 6 week mark comes around he feels stiffer than he usually is but not this time. Thank you for a fantastic product and my horse thanks you too!!

October 2014

Tonight as I write this update I am so proud to share with you that Flash (Aldebaran Admeyer) and I have made it into the Saddle Up Top 10 Awards in the discipline of Dressage riding for the HRCAV. (Horse Riding Clubs Association of Victoria). Something that I am certain we would not have achieved without the success that we have experienced using Rose-Hip Vital. You may recall that Flash has Ringbone and was having 4 weekly pentosan injections. Well I am so pleased to report that since starting on Rose-Hip vital he has not required any pentosan injections!! That is almost 6 months now!!! And to add to that his training schedule is much tougher as we have started to climb the levels and are well onto our way to being an established and competitive Level 1 combination.

Next on the agenda for Flash and is a show!! Yes a show…..he looks so well and shiny that we have decided to compete next weekend at a HRCAV show in Level 1. After that we have a clinic with Gary Lung (Grand Prix Dressage rider) on the 23rd and 24th of October. Following the clinic we will compete at a 2 day dressage comp on sat & sun 25th/26th Oct. So being a tough week I will plan to up his Rose-Hip Vital as suggested.

March 2015

Going better than ever 12 months on…….. where does the time go!! Today I walked into the feed room and noticed a date on the whiteboard. That date was written almost 12 months ago and marked the day that I started flash on Rose-Hip Vital Equine!! So with that in mind I thought I’d put pen to paper and give you all an update on how Flash is going.

Over the last few months we have have been training hard to improve our marks and be more competitive at HRCAV level 1 which we pointed up to late last year. This in itself was a huge achievement having started only 18 months prior in level 4. To become more competitive at this level a higher degree of collection is required which means Flash has to carry more weight on his hind legs. This of course worried me at first as it is his off hind that has ringbone in it which is the very reason that flash was first started on Rose-Hip Vital Equine. Well like every other report I have written I am pleased to say that despite having to carry more weight on the affected limb Flash remains 100% sound with the use of only Rose-Hip Vital Equine!!!

Next on the agenda for Flash and I are the HRCAV Individual championships in 2 weeks time followed by the EV Masters Games at Werribee.

If you see us out and about please come say hello and if you have any questions about Rose-Hip Vital don’t hesitate to ask me. It truly is an amazing product for which Flash & I are very grateful for. Until next time…. happy riding.

December 2015

My journey with Rose-Hip Vital started just over 12 months ago after a friend suggested I should try it on my horse Flash. At the time I was giving him Pentosan every 4-6 weeks to manage his ringbone to try and keep him sound enough to compete. Over 12 months on and he continues to go from strength to strength and is managed now on Rose-Hip Vital alone.

Our partnership together started out 3yrs ago where we competed as a level 4 combination and over time we have worked our way up through the ranks of HRCAV where we now compete at Level 1 and are knocking on the door of advanced!!

It has been an exciting year which has included winning a few championships, gaining our 100 point dressage award and just last weekend we acheived some great scores competing in the Level 1 HRCAV at the Saddleworld Dressage Festival where we placed amongst a strong field of riders. But probably the biggest highlight for me is the fact that my horse has remained sound and continues to give me 100% as we continue on this totally addictive journey that is dressage!!! But it’s not only my horses that benefit from Rose-Hip Vital, the dogs are now all on it after our Kelpie (spike) ruptured his cruciate 12 weeks ago. The vet was keen for me to start him on cartrophen and 4Cyte straight after the operation which included placing titanium bits in his leg to repair it. Despite the vets advice I chose to use just Rose-Hip Vital and Spike’s recovery has been amazing!!! Even my vet is impressed with just how well he is and how well he recovered!!! He is back to chasing rabbits full speed down the back paddock…….the very thing that ruptured his cruciate in the first place. (Aaaargh!!!!)

It has been a great 12 months with both competition horses going from strength to strength in their training and in competition and we couldn’t have achieved all that we have without Rose-Hip Vital!!

From the horses, to the dogs and to the humans……….over the past 12 months we have all enjoyed the benefits.
